The general purpose of the WLA is to be “Care Takers” of the lakes of Tetonka and Sakatah.
Specific examples –
- Secure funding to treat invasive species in the lakes
- Oversee and monitor the treatment of aquatic invasive species
- Gather data on the lakes to assess the health of the lakes
- Be an active partner in pursuing more effective water management
- Gather and communicate lake-related information to the community
- Provide leadership and support during lake-focused issues, e.g. flooding
- Organize social gatherings for lake residents to foster community.
